Dancing
As we transition to the first dance, I introduce the newlyweds to guests as, "Dancing together for the very first time as husband and wife," followed by your chosen song. We then invite out whomever you would like to honor with a dance, i.e., Dad, Mom, etc. Once the formal dances have been completed, it's party time!! My style is to play a fun, recognizable mix of hits from whatever style and era are appropriate for you and your guests. I really encourage you to provide me with a list of your favs, and your list of least favs! I love requests from your guests, and truly just want to make sure they have all had a chance to dance, celebrate, and have a memorable time.
My Style
Its tough to say exactly how I am, but if I had to put it into words, I tend to be uber-organized, super easy to work with, professional-yet fun-yet eloquent-yet lighthearted, and extremely positive. I dress nicely, my gear is neat and cleanly covered, I am insured and I do bring backup equipment.

Reception
As your guests enter the reception venue, there is cocktail music playing to greet them, and as they enjoy refreshments and hors d oeuvres, we await the arrival of the newlyweds and wedding party. I welcome everyone, ask them to find their seats, and progress with a fun, yet formal introduction of everyone in the wedding party, culminating with the introduction of the Bride and Groom. I encourage you all to get somewhat creative with this event, as this sets the stage for the reception to follow!
I become the voice of your reception, and I keep your guests informed of what events are taking place, and where their attention should be. I work with your vendors to be sure that none of us miss a step.
Wedding Ceremony
I arrive two full hours before anyone is present, and as your guests filter in for your upcoming ceremony, I play light music to fill the air with, as we all await the beginning of the procession. I place a wireless lapel mic on the groom and the officiant, so all of your guests can hear the ceremony perfectly. I then play a processional song for the honored women to be seated to, one for the bridesmaids to walk down the aisle to, and, of course, a special song for the bride! The ceremony then takes place, and once pronounced husband and wife, I then play the celebratory exit song. These are all choices you make!

Leading up to wedding day, we get together as many times as you deem necessary, and have a planning session which includes the following: The SJs planning form which I provide you is covered in detail, so that on wedding day, I am fully prepared for every special song you have requested, the order of events on wedding day, the announcements I will be making throughout your reception, and any other details which will help me provide you and your guests with a night filled with moments and memories.
